Former BLACK SHEEP frontman Willie Basse has been forced to put his metal super group, COMMUNION - with singer Mark Boals (YNGWIE MALMSTEEN, TED NUGENT), drummer Bobby Rondinelli (RAINBOW, BLACK SABBATH), guitarist Roy Z (JUDAS PRIEST, HALFORD, BRUCE DICKINSON) and keyboardist Ed Roth (Halford, GLENN HUGHES) - on hiatus as "the timing wasn't right."
However, in lieu of Communion, Basse has created THE GYPSY EXPERIENCE.

RICHIE KOTZEN has regretfully cancelled his shows planned for later this month in New York City, Long Island, Baltimore, and Redondo.
"Since I came back from Europe I have been struggling with my voice. Last Saturday's gig in San Juan Cap was a vocal disaster.
I thought it was fatigue from the brutal schedule in Europe however the voice is getting worse and now I am having pain even speaking.
Today I went to my doctor in Beverly Hills. He is an ear, nose, and throat specialist.
PROSTHETIC RECORDS is proud to announce the signing of Greek symphonic death metal quartet , SEPTICFLESH, whose eight albums and performances on tour alongside the likes of Cradle of Filth, Amon Amarth, Gorgoroth, Satyricon, Children of Bodom and more have earned the group international acclaim.
The band commented: "We are very excited to have signed a new North American deal with Prosthetic Records; we feel we have made the right choice with a label that could give us the right attention for the American market, we plan on striking hard with our next album!"
I have two like bands sitting on my hard drive right now - the new Job For A Cowboy release, and this release from the unsigned Solipsist. After a dozen listens to each, I am having serious trouble figuring out why exactly the signed act of the two is Job For A Cowboy. Stacked side by side, EXTINCTION PROTOCOL destroys the new Job For A Cowboy record...literally blows it out of my hard drive and into the recycle bin. C'mon Metal Blade - catch up with these guys.

According to Rollingstone.com, BLACK SABBATH will headline this year's Lollapalooza festival in Chicago, marking their only North American gig of 2012.
Even Lollapalooza founder Perry Farrell was doubtful that Sabbath would be able to join the fest, which will take place on August 3rd-5th. "Every festival in the world wanted Black Sabbath to perform, but at the time of the announcement they had to back off and cancel all their shows," Farrell tells Rolling Stone from São Paulo, Brasil, where the Jane's Addicition frontman was on hand to debut the South American country's first-ever installment of Lollapalooza last weekend. "It broke my heart, but I just kind of kept a little fire building, a little kindling going to see if possibly we could get Black Sabbath. I didn't have much faith."
