With the release of THE STRANGE CASE OF…, I fell in love with Lzzy Hale. So much so, in fact, that I jokingly got down on one knee and asked her to marry me at Rock On The Range two years ago (a proposal that she didn’t flat out turn down, so maybe there’s still hope!!). Let’s be

Let’s just call it the way it is. It’s been a very, very long time since Marilyn Manson recorded a really good, memorable release that any of us still listen to on a regular basis. To many, the would probably says that it’s been since MECHANICAL ANIMALS back in 1998. For me personally, I’ll be a bit more

When Black Star Riders made their decision to record under a new name instead of as Thin Lizzy, it was met with a lot of opinions. For most, I would assume they were happy that they decided to move away from the name they had been touring under. For many, I'm sure there was a lot of

Image: Manowar, Pitriff, news, reviews, interviews, heavy metalOn March 12th, a select group of special fans known as The Circle, who represent MANOWAR's worldwide fan base, were invited to a private pre-listening session of the forthcoming new Manowar album, as well as a tour of Wisseloord Studios, Netherlands where the album will be mixed and mastered.

A second preview of the new album has surfaced from the session. A sample of the track 'Expendable' can be heard below:

Pedro Serra (The Circle / Lusitanian Warriors Portugal) previously issued a studio report, which you can find at this location.

Bassist Joey DeMaio, and long-time collaborators Mixing Engineer Ronald Prent and Grammy award winning Mastering Engineer Darcy Proper provided insight into the making of a record, and the specific requirements in the production for a band that is world-renowned for a sound that is louder than any other band and yet equally clear and perfect.

Fans from all over the world were chosen to represent their countries and receive news and updates to share them with their fellow brothers and sisters, and listen to first songs from the new album that is set for release in June/July 2012.

"It was important to us that the fans should be the first to hear the new music. After all, it is all for them!" explained Joey DeMaio.

DeMaio promised that the story behind the song 'El Gringo', that could not yet be explained due to confidentiality clauses, will soon be revealed and asked the fans to stay tuned on Facebook. He did mention the word 'movie' after the song was played.

The new album will be "everything you've come to know and to love about Manowar; and more", DeMaio recently said in a press conference.

In the video below, members of The Circle listening to a preview of 'El Gringo' from the forthcoming new Manowar studio album:

Manowar will perform an exclusive show at Signal Iduna Park Stadium (aka Westfalenstadion) in Dortmund, Germany on July 9th. This will be the band's only show in Germany in 2012.

The band will celebrate the release of their new studio album and also the 10th anniversary of their hit album Warriors Of The World.

Bassist Joey DeMaio commented: "Germany is like a second home to us. After all, this is the country of Richard Wagner, the father of all heavy metal and the German fans are unique in their devotion for true metal! We can't wait to be back! We are calling all our warriors in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Belgium, Holland, Luxembourg and from all over the world to join us and party louder than hell!"
